Heavyweight midlands emcee Habitat617 (Heavy Links) is back with another banging release, teaming up with 4TC head Inos on production.
"You Know The Concept" is the first single to be taken from Habitat617 & Inos's upcoming album "Beast Mids" due for release later this year, and features cuts from Peterbrough based dj MistaCrowe.
This will be Habitat's 3rd Studio album, alongside 2 previous ep releases and will be available via 4 The Culture Records, after previously collaborating with 4TC group Osiris Rex, and releasing the Ill-informed produced track " Dope Stories" on 4TC records last year.
"You Know The Concept" is another head nodding boombap classic, with a haunting piano loop and Inos's signature neck snapping drums and heavy bassline, topped off perfectly with Habitat's clever wordplay and flawless delivery. With MistaCrowe providing cuts for the hook, using classic hiphop lines to create a catchy break between Habitat's hard hitting flows in the verses, and an easy repeatable chorus for crowds to join in at shows.
